This is my latest acrylic on location, Mary Queen of Angels Church. 15x22, 05-27-03. It took 5 mornings to finish.

I can only pray I can Achive 1/2 that greatness...have I started to late? I am 54..and I don't even remember coloring as a child? awesome work......I am privliged to view....

Iv'e been doing nothing but painting since I was 35, I'm 62 now. I would say anyone cah be good in 3-4 years. With no instruction, only painting from nature. Your trip will be faster.

I agree with Don
Learning to painting directly from nature is possibly the most effective approach to painting.

You do not have to achieve the level of detail and skill that Don is displays at first. Try for small impressionist sketches completed in less than 2 hours. When youi have completed a hundred or so sketches you will have achieved.
