Title: Acrylic Cyan
Post by bfallahi on Apr 26th, 2005 at 1:46pm
Hi Don,

Can you tell me an acrylic pigment that would best represent cyan of your Color Wheel?

In my area, I can find Finity, Golden, Liquitex, Tri-art, and Pebeo brands readily.

I myself like the handling of Finity and Tri-Art slightly better than the others

Thanks,

behrouz

Hi Bfallahi,
Liquitex is my choice.
In dry pigments it's PB15.3
Grumbacher just calls it PB15 and it's right on.

thanks a lot,

liquitex does not have a PB15:3 in their color composition chart. It is kind of curious, in many of their mixtures they mention PB15:3 but not as a single pigment.

They have a PB15 which in in tint has a green bias like PB15:3 of finity which WN calls Phtalo Blue Green Shade.

These manufactures drive me nuts.
They refuse to follow any standard, and change things as they want.

Better green side than red side.
