Title: Wax examples side by side
Post by EliL on Jul 8th, 2007 at 10:06pm
Don, here is one of my sample boards. The look of the plain beeswax is what I want, but I really like the work ability of the cera colla. And what should I do if I wanted to reduce the  white in the cera? Any suggestions?
On another note thank you for such a great compliment and as always, thank you for taking to time to discuss this.

Ammonia will re-melt the cera colla, it acts like an erasure while painting.
In a painting the wax is clear.
The wax and ammonia were both less than boiling hot when mixed.
Once the heat has changed the color you can't change it back.
