Silver Chalice 11x15 Acrylic Background, Sandpaper-Scratched Silver Chalice


Pictura Translucida, transparent painting on a shiny metal surface. This style of painting was made during the Dark Ages at the hight of the 2nd Golden Age of Istanbul. This painting was made with black acrylic background. The view is on a scratched and sanded aluminium support to show the changing shape of the chalice instead of on a shiny support with transparent paint. No colors were used but different grits of sandpaper were.
This same painting, Silver Chalice, it changed a little, from gold to silver.
