Lahaina Jodo Mission

Maui, Hawaii, 15x22 Acrylic on linen panel

Acrylics are so much easier to work with, easier than oil or water colors if your doing an architectural study. At any rate, architecture takes two to three times longer than a landscape or portrait. When you have to paint a thin straight line, lay a straight edge below the new line and tilt it at a 45 degree angle up off the support. Pull your rigger brush, it has long hair with a flat end, along the straight edge. A liner brush has a pointed end. I like the rigger brush #3 for my everyday painting. Today, 5-16-16 they are hard to come by in sable.
