Dear Don,
I think you should need at least 100 -  150 grms Per cup.
Safron would be a very high expense...

Dear Don,
I think you should need 50 grms of Arabic gum each cup, remeber, also some drop of honey, it will give right mouldness.
If you use it in short time ( 1 to 3 or 4 days you do not need a preservative, otherwise we sale "Parametil Sodico" that is a non toxic preservative for animal or
vegetal glues, use 5/1000. It will avoid any risk.

Dear Don,
Yes, Arabic gum is it.
Arzica appears light yellow in dry form too.
It is a transparent colour, but as it is a vegetal pigment is not as strong as chemical such magenta.
I cannot grant it could work.

Don: No it wouldn't.

Saffron seems orange in dry form and come yellow adding water but is so expensive....(26.00 Euro per 10 grms.)

Don: I'll try the Curcuma. I'm thinking about the saffron.. It might be the better choice.
I need enough gum arabic and pigment supplies to make 10 full capachino cups of each color on the plus side.
On average, how many grams for deep saturation is needed for each cup?
Do I need a preservative?

Curcuma is another transparent vegetal yellow (yellow deep to yellow light)  Euro 2.80 per 100 gr.
In chemicals most used are cadmiums but they are not transparent and they are strong a lot.
Litharge is the one.
Here we have  3 schools of traditional painters that makes Maroger medium in that way (with flake white too).

Hi Massimo, thanks for the fast reply.
I'm recording our sale on this site.

Dear Don,
Cherry gum is impossible to find now, but in making watercolours arabic gum is useful, plus a small quantity of honey.

Don: Thank you. Keep me advised. Why is it better then gum arabic? Or isn't it?

Arzica 122E is powder pigment, it has a light yellow tone.

Don: Is it transparent? I need a colored lake yellow, one that will mix with Lacca Magenta and make red. One that looks orange in mass and when thined with water looks bright yellow. (In 2012 I found it, Spectra Color in NJ has a Tartrazine Yellow transparent that is perfect for inks, water colors and acrylic paints)
http://www.realcolorwheel.com/rcwplotter.htm ;     The ink.
http://www.realcolorwheel.com/indianyellowtobrownTartrazine.htm    The pigment.
http://www.realcolorwheel.com/indianyellowtobrownPY153.htm    The home-made acrylic.

I would prefere you avoid (if children have to use it) Indian Yellow, because it is a modern sobstitution and is made with nickel and is supposed toxic.
Same thing for Massicot, it is lead and is forbidden for children.

Don: I had someone asking about, Litharge #0100. To be used in making Maroger's medium, where it's heated in oil and becomes a dark gel to paint with. This is the right litharge isn't it?

We have something very close to the other colour you ask me :
3300 Lacca Magenta (not in catalogue)
0294 Lacca Porpora (Purple lake)
Then, 2230 is mastic resin in tears and 3510 is varnish obtained from them.
This is the estimate for materials I could send you (all minimum) Euro:
100 gr. Arabic gum (powder) 2310           2.30
100 gr. Ultramarine blue light 788            2.80
20  gr. Arzica estratto E122                  12.00
2X50 gr, Phtalo blue and green 2X3.90=   7.80
1X 100 gr. terra di Siena Bruciata            2.30
2X50 gr. Magenta and Purple    2X7.00= 14.00
50 gr. Mastic resin in tears                    11.00
Then, if you really want
100 gr. Massicot                                   2.80
20 gr. Giallo indiano (sobst)                    8.30
I could send this by express courier EMS International (Kg. 1 parcel) for 32.50 Euro.
I await your considerations,

I need him for my color project and want to represent him. So I sent him this email.

Ok Massimo,
I got the catalog, it's great!
I can make a web site for you on my web site, you can use it.

What will make better watercolors, gum arabic #2310, or Cherry Gum #2340?
I will get into manufacturing six colors for children in schools to learn the color wheel correctly.
Indian Yellow #0998
Ult. Blue #0788
Arzica Yellow Lake #122 E, What color is this in it's massive state, does it look like a transparent orange that tints to yellow?
Phthalo blue #3006
Phthalo green # 3000
Burnt Sienna #0801

I also need two colors you don't show in the catalog, Quinacradone Magenta PR122 and Dioxine Purple.

And I want to try the Litharge Massicot # 0100 and Chio's Mastic Tears #3501 and #2230, what is the difference?

Today I put your lime paste fresco products in my Fresco Forum.

Can I get a small quanity sent to me as a test, the Indian Yellow and Arzica Yellow?
Don't send it now, I have to know which gum is better to use.

Aloha from Maui Island, USA
