Carot? Goodness, to even dip my brush in the same paint?? Smiley

Thank so much for your comments Don. They mean more to me than you could know.

And I don't paint birds! This spot was pure magic. I was so afraid to paint one of the "Seven Wonders of the World" - but gave it a go Smiley  Sometimes you just have to paint what you want to because you love it, not because you are worried about how it will turn out. It was just one of those days.

Appreciate your Google assistance!

Best to you as always, Diane

Hi Diane,

I have two phrases I have stuck to while here on Maui. "Paint the bird before it flies away" and "the Traveling Artist". I could have been talking about you. Thanks for posting, Papa Carot would have been proud of you, I am.

I'm using your name so Google will find it.  L Diane Johnson painting the East coast in acrylics.

Two more plein air pieces in regular acrylic. Only used tiny travel spray bottle with a bit of retarder as needed.

Playing in The Mist | Acrylic on Linen | 14x11 in.
Niagara Falls during a paint out. Loved the birds flying in and out of the mist. A real challenge, but it made me stretch and I loved it!

Bucks County Days | Acrylic on Linen | 14x18 in.
A more poised, quiet, overcast day along a canal in PA next to the Delaware River.
