I thought I would add a nude pastel or two because I really enjoyed our sessions.
This one took two hours.

Here is a picture of the new pastels available. I have over 300 sticks of pastel and no manufacture makes them as brilliant or true as these.

The cyan is the second row from the bottom, right side.
The Indian yellow is on the bottom row, second from the right end.
Magenta is on the top and second rows, left side.

Life drawing is drawing from life.

Pastels are a very fast medium and it nice to have all the colors in soft, medium and hard. Art Alternatives has new very important colors, a dual-toned orange to yellow PY100, a true magenta PR122 and a true cyan PB15. For the first time ever we have a good dark cyan and magenta. The dual-toned yellow is another first. If you mix your colors on the painting with more pastel you are in for a treat.

Here are 15 pastels and links to more.
