I still have to add the windows in the building, the tire isn't finished and a little more to the tree needs to be done. I want to wait until the car returns.

My last painting was an acrylic jacaranda on location, the only sun I had was from 8 to 10 am.
Yesterday I started a 5.5x7.5 watercolor at my friend Julia Galavia's house. It's in Pukalani (hole in the heavens). It's only 12 minutes from Makawao but it is around the mountain where the weather is always beautiful. It started to rain at the jacaranda location.

It doesn't matter what you paint it's how you paint. Small paintings take as long as large paintings, you just use smaller or larger brushes.

Since this is small and on 300# it has the advantage of holding it in your hand to paint it. I like that.

I usually never use rubber masking block-out but with the small size of this painting it did seem prudent to use it for the white, pink and yellow plumerias.

Here is day 2. The clouds followed the shape of the tree, today I don't like that, I'll change it tomorrow. Since this is 3 colors only painting I colored the tree its lightest color, cyan, the reflection of the sky.

It's important to remove the maskoid the day you put it on, if not, it's hard to remove.
