The current goes from right to left, one day I sailed around that "L" buoy backwards, another day I was sitting in a bosins chair attached to the end of my main boom by a tang, steering with a long pole attached to the tiller and the tang broke. I lost my sunglasses but held the chair with my legs. The boat went in a big circle and came back to me. Climbing back aboard was tricky, it was three feet above the water. Another day I saw at least 50 spinning dolphins and I was in the middle of them! They were all around me jumping and making sounds. Loved that boat named "Tri-go", it had a slip in the harbor, a 50' Spider Man swinging from the top of the mast painted on the main sail. It taught me how to live in a camper van for 27 years, no phone, no hot water, nothing cold, I just paint around the island of Maui.
