"En Plein Air is Painting on Location"
Linburg's Church in Kipahulu
11x15, Acrylic on panel
When you draw a building, remember the left and right vanishing points are 90 degrees apart, they can't both be in the same 60 degree painting. In this painting neither vanishing point is in the picture. Do you want a free tool you can make yourself to position the vanishing points? Click here. P.S. Any book laid at your feet will mark the same horizontal VP's, don't forget the astral and terrestrial VP's, they change with your eye level.
This painting was in American Artist, June 2000
