Gamboge

Gamboge pigment in a painting is obvious, like Davy's gray,Paine's gray or sap green is obvious. Replace it with Indian yellow PY:153 or PY:150. Daniel Smith made a nickel based pigment PY153 called New Gamboge, it's a good pigment with a confusing name. I haven't tried it but I hope it doesn't have any white in it to match the gamboge color.
