Donald A. Jusko, Maui Artist Painting on Location En Plein Air
This is the way a lot people see whales, a sunny day parked on the W. Maui pali overlook. Acrylic, 7.5x5.5. I painted my first palette knife painting here in 1977-80, looking toward a sunset. Good records weren't kept back then. It wasn't any faster then normal painting so I dropped the knife for 25 years or so. In 2003 I did about 10 paintings with the knife and I haven't used it since. Here is my last knife painting.
