This small painting was done in about three hours.
The drawing was done with a brush,
The fruits in the coconut are rose apples and strawberry guavas.
I think this is the only place on Maui that the Rose Apple grows,
it takes a lot of water and has a lavender taste.
The darks for the Cad. Red are made by adding Thalo Blue.
The darks for the Brown's are made by adding Ultramarine Blue to Bt. Sienna.
Burnt Sienna and Ultramarine Blue will make a
Burnt Umber hue that doesn't mold or crack in wet Nahiku.
