UNDER-TONE-Is clear medium w/ the pigment.
MASS-TONE is pigment right from the tube.
TOP-TONE is adding opaque white to the pigment.

Opposite color; Liquitex Carbazole Dioxazine Purple Transparent.

I don't have much use for this color, it's not as popular as it once was. This color is heated to remove the water content and it makes Viridian, a transparent Green that has a Black shade to it. Viridian bit the dust too since the newer phathalocyanine made such pure greens and cyans.
