It's not really transparent, it's translucent.


Aureolin (Cobalt Yellow) PY40 was considered transparent in the 70's. Azo Hansa is a light translucent color also, I don't like it either. I just don't have much use for most translucent colors. It's true that burnt umber and ultramarine blue can be considered translucent but I think that is stretching the term a little. Vermillion is about where I draw the line, I can use vermillion translucent in portraits.
