Indian Yellow Brown/side is the second-half of Transparent Yellow.
1st, Transparent Indian Yellow Orange/side.
2nd, Transparent Indian Yellow Brown/side.
It won't make as intense a Red but it makes an excellent dark and a good light yellow as well as strong greens.
I use the brown/side on all my location paintings.
A lot happened for the color Indian yellow over the past 20 years, 2014. Starting when transparent yellow was still called transparent Cobalt Aureolin, which it never was. There was no transparent yellow available to the artist and it had been that way since 1900. If you had never heard of transparent colors you were raised on opaque colors and the red, yellow, blue color wheel. Picasso never heard of transparent colors.
